Bam Bam Buddha
By ChicagoVine.com

Bam Bam Buddha (Neel Majumdar) was born to play the drums. He started at the age of three, playing the tabla (Indian drums) and later at the age of eight began playing western percussion instruments. After receiving numerous awards, recognitions and scholarships in high school and college he decided to pursue a career as a professional percussionist, finding his niche in nightclubs.

Bam Bam's first performances were in the summer of 2001, playing in small venues in the suburbs of Chicago. But his break came that October, when he was hired by Ala Cart Entertainment and he had his first major gig at the legendary Whitestar Lounge, for the Pimp N' Ho Party. Bam Bam then became their resident percussionist and played at Whitestar until it closed in the winter of 2004. Bam Bam was also granted residencies at other venues such as Vision, Transit, Ontourage, Cherry Red, Spybar, Rain in Milwaukee, and Deep Six in St. Louis. He has preformed in all the major clubs in Chicago and Milwaukee, and has also preformed around the country in clubs in L.A., Orange County, St. Louis and Detroit. He also participated in the opening act of the B96 Summer Bash alongside acts such as, Ludacris, Lil Kim, Da Brat, Chingy and many others. Bam Bam has had the honor of playing with a number of the nation's best DJ's including Psycho Bitch, Teri Bristol, Johnny Chaos, Jimmie Page, DJ Dannyboy, DJ Speed, DJ Flipside, Mixin Marc, Victor R, Billy The Kid, Wizzkidd, DJ Solange, Tony 2 Much and many others.

Bam Bam has established himself as one of the best percussionists in the nation and brings with him to the club a new sound, style and energy. His percussion skills and performances are breath-taking (and nirvana inducing) and have clubbers begging for more. The era of nightclub percussion has begun, and Bam Bam Buddha is leading the charge.
